Links Awakening

Though there’s always another Hyrule that needs saving.  Or someone telling the legend differently or something.

Maybe it’s like a Hyrule that doesn’t need saving doesn’t need link.  Then links out of a job.

Yeah I need to beat some Zelda games.  I have this thing where like I’ll play to the last boss and then just lose interest.

Ahhh it was nice to stumble up on some of this concept art.  Closing statement the oracle series was probably THE BEST portable Zelda game made to date.

Man just imagine the oracle series was supposed to be the Triforce series.  Ages signified wisdom, Seasons signified power, and the third never made game was supposed to be courage.  Aww man.

I say this all the time but here it goes again.  The two full fledged individual games had a password system where by playing one you could get a hoggle of new content in the other game.  This included nearly 7 new items counting upgrades, not only that but 2 new 30 room dungeons.  The kicker is the 2 game series was supposed to include a !THIRD! game.  Problem was they couldn’t get the password system to work for three games.

Some side characters got some really nice detailing.  For example the guy here at the bottom middle of the page.  He got this cool story about building a raft that wouldn’t deteriorate in ocean water.  So link and his time travel end up fulfilling his dream.  I just think all the care this two part series got was well worth the end product.
